MASSENA VAT/ENG BALANCE TESTING

What is a Balance Test (VAT/ENG)?

This test measures the vestibular region in the brain, and how well our eyes, inner ear, and brain communicate to make sure we stay steady. Over time, or due to illness, infection, or brain injury this communication system can break down slightly, causing us to bump into things, feel more clumsy, or worst case, fall. If someone has irregularity between these systems, simple exercises that are done at home can cure most coordination issues.

Balance Testing (VAT/ENG) Facts

  • It only requires movement of the head and neck to get reliable test results.
